One of the largest oil and gas companies in Uzbekistan, Saneg, summed up the results of production activities for the first half of 2023.

Thus, over the specified period, the volume of processing of petroleum feedstock at the Fergana Oil Refinery amounted to 650.5 thousand tons, an increase of 61% compared to the first half of 2022.

This allowed the company to sell 502.7 thousand tons of oil products, which is 73.3% higher than in the previous year.

The key products supplied for the growth of the economy of Uzbekistan in the first half of the year were diesel fuel (more than 208 thousand tons) and gasoline (more than 168 thousand tons).

To ensure the uninterrupted supply of petroleum products to consumers in Tashkent and the Tashkent region, in April 2023, the company commissioned a terminal for the storage and distribution of petroleum products on the territory of the refueling complex at Tashkent International Airport. To date, more than 30 thousand tons of oil products have been delivered through the terminal, which made it possible to cover more than 40% of the filling stations located in Tashkent.

Along with this, over the past period of the current year, the production of liquid hydrocarbons amounted to 305.2 thousand tons, which is 10.6% higher compared to the same period last year.

Gas production amounted to 723.2 million cubic meters. m, which is 22.8% more than in the same period in 2022.

The average daily production of hydrocarbons amounted to 1,648 tons per day, which is 1.7% more than in the first half of 2022.

The main growth drivers for the reporting period are the commissioning of new wells from drilling into commercial operation, as well as geological and technical activities carried out at 106 wells, including sidetracking and commissioning of previously abandoned wells.

Separately, projects were implemented to increase oil and gas production at the Chegara, Yangi Karatepa, Sharkiy Ispanli and Jeynov fields in the Kashkadarya region.

For information, Saneg is one of the largest oil and gas companies in Uzbekistan, accounting for about 80% of oil production from 103 fields.
