Electricity network engineer detained for accepting a bribe of 15 million soums in Samarkand

He promised to reduce the businessman’s electricity debt by 35.9 million soums.

The Urgut district PGO Department held an operative event in cooperation with the SSS employees.

It was found that the engineer of the district electric network enterprise A.N. and citizen Z.J. was caught red-handed when they earned the trust of businessman A.A. and took 15 million soums in exchange for reducing the debt of 35.9 million soums from the electricity supply of the public catering outlet.

Currently, a criminal case under Article 168 of the Criminal Code (fraud) has been opened and investigations are being conducted.
