Meta, Google, Apple and other foreign companies paid more than 48 billion soums in taxes in Uzbekistan over nine months
Currently, 52 foreign companies providing electronic services are registered as VAT payers in Uzbekistan.

In January-September this year, foreign companies providing electronic services in Uzbekistan paid 48.3 billion soums in taxes.
This is 1.5 times more compared to the same period last year, according to the State Tax Committee.
97% of taxes paid are accounted for by 10 foreign companies:
— Meta - 18.7 billion soums;
— Google - 14.9 billion soums;
— Apple - 9 billion soums;
— Вooking.com - 1.2 billion soums;
— Netflix - 916.7 million soums;
— Xsolla - 613.7 million soums;
— Yandex - 476.4 million soums;
— Adobe Systems - 326.5 million soums;
— Microsoft - 326 million soums;
— Activision - 310.4 million soums.
The requirement to pay VAT by foreign companies that provide electronic services to individuals in Uzbekistan was introduced in 2020.
