Surayyo Rakhmonova elected Children’s Ombudsman
At the Senate plenary session, a decision was made to elect Surayyo Rakhmonova to the position of Children’s Rights Representative (Ombudsman) of Oliy Majlis.
At the forty-sixth plenary session of the Senate, the issue of electing the representative of Oliy Majlis on children’s rights (the Children’s Ombudsman) was considered.
The Senate made a decision to elect Rakhmonova Surayyo Mahmudovna to the position of Children’s Ombudsman.
For information, Surayyo Rahmonova was born in 1978 in Tashkent.
She completed her bachelor’s degree in 2000 and a master’s degree in 2002 at Tashkent State Law University. In 2015, she received the scientific title of associate professor, and in 2018 – the scientific degree of Doctor of Legal Sciences.
In 2018-2019, Surayyo Rahmonova was the head of the PGO Public Relations and Legal Information Service, the head of the AIMC department since 2019. She has been working in the Senate public relations department since 2022.
It should be recalled that Aliya Yunusova, who worked as a child rights representative of Oliy Majlis, resigned in September of this year.
