Uzbekistan, Egypt eye to strengthen economic relations
Ambassador of Uzbekistan Mansurbek Kilichev met in Cairo with the Deputy Foreign Minister of Egypt Ahmed Shahin.
During the meeting, the sides noted that the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Egypt in February 2023 brought bilateral relations between the two countries to a new level and contributed to the intensification of cooperation in all areas.
The parties discussed implementing the agreements reached on the sidelines of the Uzbekistan-Egypt summit and exchanged views on further strengthening comprehensive dialogue.
Particular attention was paid to the development of economic cooperation. It was noted that leading Egyptian companies such as Elsewedy Electric, Orascom, In2Metals, Nile Sugar, Polyserve, Pharco, Solyphar, and ACDIMA are beginning their successful activities in Uzbekistan.
The sides considered organizing the Culture Days of Uzbekistan in Egypt.
At the meeting, upcoming joint events at various levels and other current issues on the agenda of bilateral relations were also discussed.
