Air traffic between Tashkent and Mumbai being restored
Flights to Mumbai are expected to resume in April.
In the Indian state of Maharashtra, the Uzbekistan Airways airline company held a grand presentation ceremony dedicated to the restoration of the Tashkent-Mumbai-Tashkent air service and attractive tourism destinations of the country in April.
Reportedly, the ceremony was attended by about 100 leading tourism organizations and agencies operating in the state of Maharashtra, including its administrative center – Mumbai, as well as representatives of the media.
In the presentation, it was noted that the geography of Uzbekistan Airways flights to foreign countries, including India, is expanding, and after the resumption of flights to Mumbai in April, the number of flights to Indian cities will increase to eight times a week. Special attention was paid to the fact that the country’s national carrier plans to regularly increase the number of flights to India.
The connection between Tashkent and Mumbai by air will offer new tourism routes, including skiing, pilgrimage, mastering eco-types, holding wedding ceremonies, and providing opportunities for filmmakers to discover new locations for shooting films, for the people of the state of Maharashtra, home to about 120 million people, and its neighboring regions.
