Uzbekistan’s ambassador meets with UK adviser to CPC in London
The Ambassador of Uzbekistan Ravshan Usmanov held negotiations with the director of the British office of the Center for Caspian Policy, David Moran.

David Moran is a former British Ambassador to Uzbekistan (2005-2007). Until August 2023, regional government ambassador for climate and energy issues in Europe and Central Asia.
The Caspian Policy Center (CPC) is an independent think tank established in 2016 and located in Washington. The main areas of research of the Center are economic, political, energy and security issues of the Caspian region.
The parties discussed issues of cooperation, including in the field of combating climate change.
The Ambassador spoke about the measures taken in our country to combat climate change and protect the environment, adapt to climate change, reduce carbon dioxide emissions and develop green energy. During the conversation, interest was expressed in developing cooperation with international partners, including the UK, in achieving the goals.
In this context, David Moran highly appreciated the resolution adopted by the UN General Assembly “2027 – International Year of Sustainable and Resilient Tourism”, which was initiated by Uzbekistan. Particular attention is paid to the development of “green” tourism to preserve the environment, biodiversity and reduce air pollution.
An agreement was reached to continue the dialogue in this area.
