World Intellectual Property Organization Academy branch to be established in Uzbekistan
Uzbekistan's Permanent Representative to the UN office and other international organizations in Geneva, Eldiyor Toshmatov, met with the Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Daren Tang.

According to the IA Dunyo, Daren Tang highly appreciated the measures being implemented in Uzbekistan to improve mechanisms for integrating the results of intellectual activities and innovations into the economy, creating regional brands, preventing the trade of counterfeit products, and ensuring reliable legal protection of intellectual property objects.
He noted that Uzbekistan actively cooperates with WIPO, with the republic's representatives regularly participating in the organization's assemblies, forums, seminars, and regional and international events.
The parties discussed the establishment of a WIPO Academy branch in Uzbekistan and enhancing collaboration with WIPO during the country's accession process to the World Trade Organization (WTO).
Following the meeting, Daren Tang expressed a desire to visit Uzbekistan.
