Uzbekistan offers financial incentives for hiring returned migrants
From June 1, 2024, until January 1, 2026, employers in Uzbekistan who hire individuals returning from labor migration will be eligible for subsidies.
Employers who hire returned labor migrants will receive a monthly subsidy of 500,000 UZS per employee for a duration of 12 months, starting from June 1, 2024.
According to legislation, this excludes budgetary organizations, state enterprises, and legal entities with a state share of more than 50% in the charter capital.
Key points include:
- The subsidy applies to persons employed between June 1, 2024, and January 1, 2026;
- A valid labor contract registered in the Unified National Labor System with a returned migrant serves as the basis for the subsidy;
- The term 'returned labor migrants' refers to individuals who have been engaged in work abroad for more than three months and have returned to their place of residence within the last year.
