Average monthly salary in Uzbekistan reaches 5 million UZS
The average nominal monthly salary in Uzbekistan amounts to 5 million 92 thousand UZS. The lowest average salaries remain in education, healthcare, and social services sectors.
In the first half of the year, the average nominal monthly salary in Uzbekistan amounted to 5 million 92 thousand UZS. In the same period of 2023, this figure was 4 million 337 thousand UZS.
According to the Statistics Agency, during the first half of the year, the highest average nominal monthly salaries by region were observed in Tashkent City (8.4 million UZS), Navoi (6.6 million UZS), Tashkent Region (4.9 million UZS), Andijan (4.4 million UZS), and the Republic of Karakalpakstan (4.2 million UZS).
Over six months, the regions with the highest growth rates in average nominal monthly salaries were Tashkent City (20.2%), Samarkand (18.2%), Andijan (17.6%), Fergana (16.8%), and Navoi (16.2%).
Average monthly salaries by economic activity types are as follows:
- Banking, insurance, leasing, credit, and brokerage activities: 14.4 million UZS;
- Information and communication: 12.4 million UZS;
- Transportation and storage: 7.7 million UZS;
- Industry: 6.2 million UZS;
- Trade: 5.9 million UZS;
- Construction: 5.4 million UZS;
- Accommodation and food services: 4.6 million UZS;
- Education: 3.5 million UZS;
- Healthcare and social services: 3.3 million UZS.
