SSS prevents smuggling of over 30,000 potent drug tablets from Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan
The detainees had "Regapen" and "Tropicamide," which were smuggled into Uzbekistan from the neighboring republic.
In two regions of the republic, SSS officers intercepted the illegal circulation of potent drugs smuggled into Uzbekistan from Kyrgyzstan.
Specifically, a citizen residing in the Jalal-Abad region of Kyrgyzstan and two individuals residing in the Namangan region were detained. Acting in collusion, they smuggled 16,800 tablets of the potent drug "Regapen" into Uzbekistan. They were detained while selling them for $36,000.
In another instance, during the inspection of a car belonging to a resident of the Shayhontohur district of the capital, 15 tablets of "Regapen" were found. Then, during the inspection of the home of his acquaintance living in the Uchtepa district, 2967 tablets of "Regapen" were found and seized.
During an operational event conducted by SSS officers in cooperation with customs authorities, a Nexia car driven by a resident of Ferghana, born in 1989, was stopped. The man was found to have 1,400 tablets of "Regapen" and 30 tablets of "Tropicamide."
In the Namangan region, during the inspection of a Lacetti car, the driver, a resident of Namangan, was found to have 6,034 tablets of "Regapen." During a subsequent operational event at his home, an additional 2,800 tablets of this drug were found and seized.
Currently, criminal cases have been initiated on these facts, and investigative actions are underway.
