EU Delegation commends Uzbekistan's role in Afghan humanitarian efforts
Ismatulla Irgashev, the Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan, met yesterday with Toivo Klaar, Head of the European Union Delegation to Uzbekistan.
The meeting provided a platform for a comprehensive exchange of views on the current situation in Afghanistan and the international community's efforts to enhance cooperation in this critical area.
During their discussions, both parties emphasized the importance of maintaining regular bilateral contacts to coordinate efforts concerning Afghanistan. They recognized that ongoing dialogue is essential for effectively addressing the challenges faced by the country.
Ambassador Klaar commended Uzbekistan's initiatives aimed at fostering a consolidated regional stance on Afghanistan, highlighting the nation's commitment to establishing long-term peace and stability. He also acknowledged Uzbekistan's role in providing humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people.
