Shavkat Mirziyoyev to attend BRICS Summit in Russia

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will attend the BRICS Summit in Kazan, Russia, on October 23-24, at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
During the summit, which will be held under Russia’s chairmanship in the BRICS Plus format, President Mirziyoyev is scheduled to deliver a speech at the plenary session. The session will focus on expanding international cooperation aimed at ensuring inclusive and sustainable development, as well as discussing key issues in global politics.
In addition to the summit, President Mirziyoyev is also expected to hold several bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the event, according to the president’s press service.
BRICS was established in 2006 and includes Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, the United Arab Emirates, Iran, Egypt, and Ethiopia.
