Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan launch joint military drills at Forish Training Ground
Uzbek and Kazakh military personnel have commenced joint tactical exercises, named “Khanjar-2024,” at the Forish Mountain Training Ground in Uzbekistan’s Central Military District.
The collaborative exercises focus on live-fire training with various combat weapons and simulated combat operations within a mock urban setting.

Following an official opening ceremony, leaders of the Kazakh military delegation participated in a briefing to review the exercise agenda. According to Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Defense, the ten-day drill will provide a platform for both militaries to exchange practical expertise across multiple operational areas.

During the “Khanjar-2024” exercises, soldiers from both countries will engage in firing drills with various combat weapons and conduct maneuvers simulating urban combat. The exercises aim to enhance tactical coordination and improve analytical skills related to urban warfare scenarios.
