Uzbekistan's ambassador to Latvia extends mission to Lithuania
Timur Rahmanov, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Latvia, has been concurrently appointed as Ambassador to Lithuania.

Since June 2024, Timur Rahmanov has served as Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Latvia. On February 11, he presented his credentials to the President of Lithuania, Gitanas Nausėda, according to the news agency "Dunyo."
During their meeting, the two sides discussed the current state and future prospects of bilateral cooperation. President Nausėda noted that by the end of 2024, Uzbekistan had become one of Lithuania’s largest trade and economic partners.
The Lithuanian President expressed support for Uzbekistan’s initiatives within the European Union and its accession to the World Trade Organization. He also emphasized that the upcoming Central Asia–EU Forum in Samarkand later this year highlights the high level of cooperation between Tashkent and the European Union.
Additionally, President Nausėda expressed Lithuania’s readiness to further develop ties in the energy sector, including sharing expertise in green energy.
