Particular attention was paid to increasing bilateral trade from the current $1.4 billion to $2 billion and expanding cooperation with leading German companies. There are currently 253 enterprises with German capital operating in Uzbekistan.
The two sides also discussed preparations for an upcoming visit to Uzbekistan by a delegation from the German Eastern Business Association, as well as the 18th meeting of the Uzbek-German Intergovernmental Working Group on Trade and Investment, scheduled to take place in Berlin.
The meeting concluded with both sides reaffirming their interest in deepening practical cooperation and strengthening business ties between the two countries.
