The new elevators will be manufactured by the OSTEN brand, located at the Technopark. Tashkent currently has 9,101 elevators in its multi-apartment buildings, with 2,042 of them in need of replacement due to aging.
By the end of 2025, 452 of these outdated elevators will be replaced, accounting for 22.1% of the total. The new elevators will meet modern safety standards and offer improved energy efficiency.
Earlier, it was reported that Tashkent’s governor, Shavkat Umurzakov, allocated 6 billion soms to address issues with the city's drainage system, which often struggles during rainfall and leads to flooding during heavy rains.
