Electricity grid worker and accomplice arrested for large-scale power theft
An employee of the Karshi city power grid company has been caught stealing electricity worth over 1 billion UZS in collusion with a local farmer.

According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, the employee, identified as B.A., conspired with the head of a farming enterprise, named as O.T., to illegally connect two homemade oil production devices located in the farm's warehouse to the electricity grid.
As a result of this illegal connection, 1 billion 50 million UZS worth of electricity was stolen.

A criminal case has been initiated against B.A. and others under Article 169, Part 4, Clause “a” of the Criminal Code (theft in especially large amounts). The suspects have been detained in accordance with procedural regulations.
