President Mirziyoyev receives Turkish Vice President
On May 15, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation from the Republic of Turkey led by Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz.
According to the presidential press service, “the parties discussed further broadening and deepening of Uzbek–Turkish comprehensive strategic partnership, primarily in the trade-economic and investment spheres.”
The sides welcomed the ongoing intensive contacts and exchanges at various levels and highly appreciated the outcomes of today’s intergovernmental commission meeting, business dialogue, and exhibition held in Tashkent.
During the negotiations, the parties underscored the importance of coordinated measures to further increase bilateral trade turnover, including by expanding the range of goods covered under the preferential trade agreement.
The sides paid special attention to preparing the agenda for the next meeting of the Supreme Council for Strategic Cooperation.
