Used car prices rise while second-hand EV costs fall in June

In June, prices of many used locally manufactured vehicles in Uzbekistan started to rise, while prices for electric vehicles – particularly BYD models – fell, according to an analysis conducted by experts from the Institute for Macroeconomic and Regional Studies (IMRS).

As of June 2025, the average prices of popular used local cars increased slightly compared to May. Specifically:

Heavily used: ↑ $100 (from $12,900 to $13,000)
Cobalt:
Slightly used: ↑ $150 (from $12,550 to $12,700)
Average used: ↑ $125 (from $12,000 to $12,125)
Heavily used: ↑ $100 (from $11,500 to $11,600)
Nexia:
Average used: ↑ $300 (from $10,900 to $11,200)
Heavily used: ↑ $115 (from $10,000 to $10,115)
Spark:
Heavily used: ↑ $200 (from $8,800 to $9,000)
Average used: ↑ $194 (from $10,000 to $10,194)
Damas:
Slightly used: ↑ $50 (from $8,000 to $8,050)

Prices of local luxury cars

Among locally produced luxury cars, prices of average and slightly used Equinox and average used Malibu declined, while prices of slightly used Equinox and all types of Tracker increased. Specifically:

Average used: ↓ $50 (from $30,500 to $30,450)
Slightly used: ↑ $1,300 (from $33,500 to $34,800)
Malibu:
