Saida Mirziyoyeva discusses partnership expansion with EBRD President Odile Renaud-Basso

During the meeting, Mirziyoyeva noted that the partnership between Uzbekistan and the EBRD has reached a new stage of development, driven by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s policy of openness and reforms aimed at improving the country’s welfare.

She highlighted the large-scale infrastructure projects being implemented with the EBRD’s support, particularly in the areas of irrigation and the green economy.

Mirziyoyeva expressed appreciation for the Bank’s ongoing support for the Women in Business and Youth in Business programs, which have positively transformed the lives of many women and young people in Uzbekistan. She also stressed the importance of joint projects promoting sustainable development in Karakalpakstan.

Thes sides acknowledged that the collective efforts of Central Asian countries to strengthen good-neighborly relations have fostered an environment of trust and regional cooperation.
Saida Mirziyoyeva expressed confidence that the partnership with the EBRD will continue to contribute to the prosperity of Uzbekistan and the broader Central Asian region.
