Uzbekistan and Austria discuss further steps on migration and mobility cooperation
Vienna hosted the first round of consultations between the consular services of the Uzbek and Austrian Ministries of Foreign Affairs.

According to Uzbekistan’s MFA, the discussions focused on current issues of bilateral cooperation, resulting in the following agreements:
• to continue negotiations on a draft agreement on cooperation in the field of migration and mobility, aimed at further developing interaction in this area;
• to prepare an intergovernmental agreement regulating visa issuance procedures for holders of diplomatic passports;
• to review the issue of recognition of apostilles issued by the competent authorities of Uzbekistan;
• to consider the possibility of issuing visas for Uzbek citizens through the Austrian diplomatic mission in Astana.
Both sides noted that these consultations will contribute to strengthening consular and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries.
