U.S. company Vast signs memorandum with Uzbekistan to expand space collaboration
Uzbekistan plans to cooperate with the American company Vast in the field of space exploration, the Ministry of Digital Technologies has announced.

During a visit to the United States, Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov met with Rich Leshner, Vice President of the aerospace company Vast. The two sides discussed the development of space technologies and ways to expand human potential in this area.
The talks focused on opportunities for long-term scientific collaboration, including personnel exchanges and the participation of Uzbek specialists in space missions related to the upcoming launch of the Haven-1 orbital station.
The sides also discussed the potential involvement of Uzbek engineers and scientists in the development of the future Haven-2 station, which is being considered as a successor to the International Space Station. Uzbek experts are expected to take part in research on artificial gravity, life support systems, and orbital architecture.
In addition, the meeting participants proposed several initiatives aimed at training and preparing personnel, organizing internships, and establishing laboratories. These efforts will help expand practical cooperation between Uzbekistan and Vast.
Following the meeting, the parties signed a memorandum of understanding, which provides for the broader participation of Uzbek specialists in international space programs and orbital projects.
