President of Kazakhstan arrives in Uzbekistan on a state visit
Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived in Uzbekistan on a state visit, becoming the first foreign head of state to land at the newly built Tashkent Humo International Airport, better known as Tashkent-East airport. He was welcomed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Following the official ceremony, the two leaders exchanged views inside the new terminal building on further developing the strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
According to the visit program, the parties will hold high-level talks and the second meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council tomorrow, 15 November. The sides are expected to launch major joint projects during the summit and sign a substantial package of bilateral documents.

In addition, on 15–16 November, Tashkent will host the seventh Consultative Meeting of Central Asian Leaders.
