The two sides discussed measures to further strengthen cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United Nations and its agencies.

Uzbekistan has initiated 15 resolutions adopted by the UN General Assembly in recent years, including two approved in 2026. The country also actively participates in the work of the organization’s principal bodies and institutions and has nominated itself for a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council for the 2035–2036 term.

Both sides expressed interest in further cooperation on achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, promoting regional cooperation in Central Asia, addressing the effects of climate change, and strengthening a culture of peace and interfaith dialogue.

Discussing bilateral relations, the two sides also expressed readiness to expand Uzbekistan’s multifaceted partnership with Bangladesh, one of South Asia’s rapidly developing countries.
