Islamic Solidarity Games 2025: Uzbekistan finishes second with 96 medals

Uzbekistan’s delegation successfully concluded its participation in the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games. At the event hosted by Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Uzbek athletes claimed 29 gold, 35 silver, and 32 bronze medals, securing second place among 57 participating countries with a total of 96 medals.

The tournament, which began on 7 November, ended on 21 November. On the final day, Uzbekistan’s athletes added three more medals. In jiu-jitsu, Sarvarbek Rakhmonberdiyev earned bronze in the −62 kg weight category. In para powerlifting, Qudratoy Toshpolatova lifted 134 kg to win silver. In the men’s heavyweight category, Bekzod Jamilov finished with a bronze medal. As a result, the delegation added 1 silver and 2 bronze medals on the concluding day.

According to the final standings, Turkey topped the overall medal table with 72 gold, 35 silver, and 32 bronze medals. Uzbekistan ranked second with 29 gold, 35 silver, and 32 bronze. Iran rounded out the top three with 29 gold, 19 silver, and 33 bronze medals.
