Ecology Committee launches reward scheme for reporting environmental violations
Uzbekistan has introduced a new incentive mechanism that rewards citizens for reporting environmental violations, according to the National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change.
Under the new system, individuals who submit photo or video evidence of violations will receive a payment equivalent to 15 per cent of the fine collected from the offender. Reports can be filed through the EcoNazorat information system or via the committee’s official Telegram bot, @ecogovuzbot.
The committee said the measure aims to strengthen public participation in protecting the environment and to create a more effective and transparent monitoring system.
“Let your cameras become our tool of protection! Record violations and receive your reward. We stand together in the fight for clean air,” said Aziz Abdukhakimov, the committee’s chair.
