Mirziyoyeva held a working meeting with the heads of the country’s law-enforcement and security agencies, where she outlined the need to establish an integrated and effective system to combat these threats within a short timeframe.
She said the rise of drug-related offences and criminal networks poses a serious danger to society, particularly to young people, stressing that protecting the next generation from addiction remains one of the state’s core responsibilities.

“One of the most urgent issues requiring strict and constant oversight is the fight against drug trafficking and organized crime,” Mirziyoyeva said. “Today, at the Presidential Administration, we held a working meeting with the heads of law-enforcement agencies. It was decided to create a coordinated and effective system, in the shortest possible time, to counter drug crimes, criminal groups, and the illegal circulation of weapons.”

“We must not allow the spread of narcotics in society, especially among youth. Safeguarding the younger generation from the scourge of drug addiction and ensuring the security of our citizens is the direct duty of the state. Any unlawful actions in this area must be decisively stopped,” she added.
