The information was presented during a session of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis, where Health Minister Asilbek Khudoyorov delivered a report on the implementation of tasks outlined in healthcare development programs.

It was noted that this year the emergency medical service handled more than 13 million calls. For the first time, the operation of specialized ambulance teams using electric vehicles has been launched. In addition, the ambulance fleet has been renewed with 1,000 vehicles.

The minister emphasized that the expansion of ambulance teams from 1,648 to 2,865, along with a sixteenfold increase in funding for medicines, made it possible to reduce response times to emergency calls by threefold.

During the session, lawmakers acknowledged the progress achieved but also pointed to a number of shortcomings in certain regions. They noted that during meetings with voters, citizens continue to raise concerns related to these issues.

In particular, it was stressed that available capacities are not being fully utilized in the areas of maternal and child health, the development of primary health care, specialized and emergency medical services, as well as the state medical insurance system.

During the discussions, members of parliament put forward a number of proposals and recommendations aimed at safeguarding public health, strengthening primary health care, and improving specialized and emergency medical services.

At the conclusion of the session, the health minister’s report was taken into consideration, and an agreement was reached to ensure effective parliamentary oversight of the issues on the agenda.
