Uzbekistan slips five spots in global mobile internet speed ranking
As of December 2025, Uzbekistan ranked 76th in the Speedtest Global Index for mobile internet speeds.
According to the data, the country fell by five positions compared with November. Average mobile internet speed was assessed at 51.47 megabits per second. In June last year, Uzbekistan ranked 71st out of 103 countries. At that time, Kazakhstan ranked first among CIS countries.
Wired internet speeds also deteriorated, with the republic dropping from 77th to 83rd place. The average fixed broadband speed stood at 90.94 megabits per second.
The fastest mobile internet was recorded in the United Arab Emirates, reaching 691.76 megabits per second. In fixed broadband speeds, Singapore remains the global leader, with wired internet operating at 410.06 megabits per second.
In September 2025, the cities of Samarkand and Kokand surpassed Tashkent in internet speed.
By region, Samarkand also recorded higher speeds than other areas. It was followed by the Bukhara and Navoi regions.
