U.S. President Donald Trump invited Uzbekistan to take a permanent seat on the “Board of Peace” council concerning the Gaza sector.

“An official invitation was sent to the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, from U.S. President Donald Trump to join an international initiative aimed at strengthening peace in the Middle East and resolving conflicts.

“The letter notes that the initiative was announced on September 29, 2025, and has been endorsed by global leaders. It is based on a comprehensive plan to end the Gaza conflict, which was also approved by United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803 on November 17, 2025.

“The main goal of the initiative is to create a new international structure – the “Board of Peace” Council – uniting countries willing to take responsibility for establishing long-term peace, stability, and security,” the statement said.

It was also noted that Uzbekistan has been offered to join the “Board of Peace” Council as a founding member.

The president sent a response letter to his American counterpart, confirming Uzbekistan’s readiness to join the council as a founding member.

In his letter, President Mirziyoyev emphasized that this initiative is regarded as an important step toward resolving long-standing conflicts in the Middle East and ensuring peace and stability across the wider region.
