Uzbekistan organizes evacuation of citizens from Iran through Turkmenistan
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan has announced a coordinated effort to assist Uzbek citizens departing Iran through the territory of Turkmenistan. This initiative aims to provide a safe and organized transit route for those currently navigating the region.
According to official reports from the ministry, the operation is being managed through close cooperation between the Uzbekistan Embassies in both Ashgabat and Tehran. To ensure a smooth transition at the border, diplomatic staff and dedicated vehicles have been mobilized and stationed at the Sarakhs Turkmenistan–Iran border crossing point.
The presence of these officials is intended to streamline the entry and exit processes, providing immediate assistance to citizens as they arrive from Iran.
