Ravshan Mukhitdinov placed on international wanted list
Uzbekistan has officially placed 37-year-old businessman Ravshan Mukhitdinov on the international wanted list through Interpol. His name recently appeared in the "Red Notice" section of the Interpol website, signaling a global request to law enforcement agencies to locate and provisionally arrest him pending extradition or similar legal action.
Mukhitdinov is facing several serious charges under the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan. These include Article 173, Part 3 (intentional destruction of or damage to property), Article 242, Part 2 (establishment of or participation in an organized armed group), and Article 277, Part 3 (hooliganism).
According to available information, Mukhitdinov currently resides in Turkey, where he is involved in various business activities. He also serves as the Vice President of Financial Affairs for the World Disability Foundation (Dünya Engelliler Vakfı – DEV), an organization registered in Istanbul.
An Interpol Red Notice is issued at the request of a member country and is based on a valid national arrest warrant or a court decision issued by the judicial authorities of the requesting state. It serves as a critical tool for international police cooperation in tracking down fugitives across borders.
This development follows the recent announcement that Dilshod Akhmedov, the former Board Chairman of the Uzbek Metallurgical Plant (Uzmetkombinat), was also placed on the Interpol wanted list. Akhmedov is accused of embezzlement and misappropriation of funds.
