Uzbekistan establishes diplomatic relations with Guinea-Bissau
Ulugbek Lapasov, Uzbekistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, and Samba Sané, Guinea-Bissau’s Permanent Representative, signed a joint communiqué on April 22.

Both sides confirmed their interest in expanding cooperation within international organizations, including the United Nations and its specialized agencies.
The parties agreed to step up efforts to identify mutually beneficial areas of bilateral cooperation.
Guinea-Bissau is now the 168th country with which Uzbekistan has diplomatic relations.
