Police arrest 21-year-old in Tashkent region for selling malicious hacking software
Law enforcement officers in Tashkent region have apprehended a young man involved in the illegal sale of malicious APK files through the Telegram messenger. The suspect, born in 2005, is accused of developing and distributing software designed to compromise personal security and facilitate financial theft.

According to official reports, the individual sold his self-developed virus programs for prices ranging from UZS 100,000 to UZS 300,000. Beyond merely selling the files, the suspect actively promoted his products across various social media platforms and even provided technical support to his "customers" to resolve issues encountered while using the malware.
The software distributed by the criminal posed a significant threat to digital privacy and financial security. Investigation reveals that the malicious programs allowed unauthorized access to Telegram accounts, the ability to read private SMS messages, and the means to embezzle funds from various payment systems.
The suspect operated as an administrator for more than five Telegram groups and channels. These platforms were used to regularly publish instructions and posts detailing the capabilities and deployment of the malicious applications.
During a search of the suspect's residence, authorities confiscated several items used in the criminal activity, including a laptop, a mobile phone, a hard drive, and two bank cards. These items have been processed as evidence for the ongoing case.
A criminal case has been initiated against the detained individual, and investigative procedures are currently underway to determine the full extent of the operation and identify any potential accomplices or victims.
