President Mirziyoyev receives Brazilian Foreign Minister to strengthen ties
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held talks with Brazil’s Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira, focusing on expanding bilateral relations and deepening multifaceted cooperation.
At the start of the meeting, Vieira conveyed greetings and best wishes to Mirziyoyev from Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
The two sides discussed upgrading Uzbek-Brazilian relations to a qualitatively new level, emphasizing the importance of establishing a systematic high-level dialogue and strengthening political and interparliamentary contacts.

They also addressed efforts to boost bilateral trade, expand business ties, and advance joint projects in chemicals, electrical engineering, pharmaceuticals, and other industrial sectors.
Agriculture, livestock breeding, tourism and sports were also identified as promising areas for cooperation.

Both sides proposed establishing an intergovernmental commission to ensure implementation of agreed initiatives.
They also exchanged views on current international issues and discussed the schedule of upcoming bilateral engagements.
