President Shavkat Mirziyoyev received United States Trade Representative Jamieson Greer on June 25 to discuss deepening the strategic partnership between the two countries, with a strong focus on expanding economic and commercial ties.
At the start of the meeting, the head of the US delegation conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from US President Donald Trump to Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The discussions centered on the steady growth of bilateral trade and investments, with both sides noting the increasing frequency of business-to-business contacts with satisfaction. The leaders reviewed the practical outcomes of the recent roundtable discussion held with American business leaders during the Tashkent International Investment Forum.

A major focus of the talks was placed on Uzbekistan's ongoing process of joining the World Trade Organization (WTO). President Mirziyoyev and the US Trade Representative discussed continued American support and cooperation to facilitate the country's accession to the global trade body.
Both sides also highlighted the importance of fully leveraging the American–Uzbekistan Business and Investment Council. This mechanism will serve as a primary platform to identify, develop, and promote new project initiatives between American companies and Uzbek partners moving forward.
