Uzbekistan seeks to expand visa-free travel for its citizens
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will intensify negotiations with foreign governments to expand visa-free travel opportunities for Uzbek citizens and simplify visa procedures.
The initiative is being implemented as part of the goals set out in the Uzbekistan–2030 Strategy. To support the effort, the ministry has launched a month-long campaign, during which Uzbekistan's diplomatic missions and consular offices will focus on advancing new agreements in the field of visa policy.
According to the Foreign Ministry, Uzbekistan's embassies and consulates abroad will step up negotiations with international partners to broaden visa-free travel opportunities, simplify visa application procedures, and introduce more modern and user-friendly visa mechanisms.
Particular emphasis will be placed on concluding new visa-free agreements and expanding the use of electronic visas.
The ministry said the initiative is intended to make international travel more convenient for Uzbek citizens while promoting broader and more open cooperation with foreign countries.
