According to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the United States, Head Honchos President Todd Miller is expected to visit Uzbekistan in August for talks on expanding cooperation in seasonal labor recruitment.
The visit has been organized by the Uzbek Embassy as part of efforts to broaden legal employment opportunities for Uzbek citizens in the United States and facilitate their participation in the H-2A temporary agricultural worker program.
During the visit, the parties are expected to discuss the recruitment of Uzbek nationals for seasonal agricultural work in the United States. They also plan to sign a memorandum of cooperation between the Uzbek side and Head Honchos.
The memorandum is expected to provide for the training of workers in line with the requirements of U.S. employers, professional skills development for prospective candidates and expanded opportunities for legal employment in the United States under H-2A visas.
As part of the visit, the American delegation will travel to Tashkent, Bukhara Region and Fergana Region, where company representatives will familiarize themselves with the operations of agricultural enterprises, farms and other industry stakeholders.
According to the embassy, cooperation under the H-2A program is intended to improve recruitment procedures for Uzbek citizens seeking seasonal work in the United States while expanding access to safe and legal employment opportunities.
