Of the total, 14,900 divorces, or 60.1%, were registered in urban areas, while 9,900 cases, or 39.9%, occurred in rural areas.
The data also show that childless families accounted for 48.1% of all divorces recorded in the second quarter of 2026. The figure was up from 45.2% in the first quarter, marking an increase of 2.9 percentage points.
Overall, since the beginning of 2025, childless families have consistently accounted for nearly half of all divorces recorded each quarter.
By region, the highest numbers of divorces were registered in Tashkent city, Tashkent region and Samarkand region. The lowest figures were recorded in Syrdarya region, Navoi region and Jizzakh region.
The statistics indicate that divorces continue to be more common in urban areas, while a significant share of marriage dissolutions involves couples without children.
