Uzbekistan-Republic of Korea trade reaches $1.1 billion in January-July

Uzbekistan’s foreign trade with the Republic of Korea reached $1.1 billion in January-July 2026, according to the National Statistics Committee. Exports to the Republic of Korea amounted to $37.5 million, while imports stood at $1.037 billion, the committee said.

Investment and loans from the Republic of Korea allocated to fixed capital amounted to $216.4 million in January-June.

As of August 1, 2026, Uzbekistan had 730 enterprises with South Korean investment, the statement said.

In January-July, 26,512 tourists arrived in Uzbekistan from the Republic of Korea, while 20,073 tourists from Uzbekistan visited the Republic of Korea, according to the committee.

During the same period, 591 people arrived in Uzbekistan from the Republic of Korea for educational purposes, while 1,394 people travelled from Uzbekistan to the Republic of Korea for study, the statement said.
