Diplomats from Uzbekistan’s embassy in Austria met with representatives of Technopol Krems and Cells+Tissuebank Austria to discuss potential areas of cooperation in the sector.
Technopol Krems is a technology center that brings together research and educational institutions, universities and businesses. Its areas of focus include regenerative medicine, oncology, diagnostics and medical technologies.
Cells+Tissuebank Austria specializes in the collection, processing and provision of allogeneic tissues for medical use, including tissues used in musculoskeletal medicine and human bone tissue applications.
The discussions covered practical training and professional development programs for specialists, exchanges of experts, joint seminars and research, as well as the Austrian experience in quality management and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
Potential cooperation areas include developing tissue banks, introducing advanced methods for processing and storing biological materials, and implementing projects involving medical devices, diagnostics and other modern medical technologies.
Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Health, the Agency for Innovative Development, the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Traumatology and Orthopedics, medical universities and Tashkent Pharma Park were identified as potential partners.
The sides agreed to maintain contacts between relevant institutions and establish direct cooperation. Technical consultations are planned as a next step to develop specific joint projects.
