The “Banned channels” service is now available through the interactive services portal of MY.SUD.UZ, the Supreme Court’s Department of Digital Technologies and Artificial Intelligence said.
The service provides information on online sources that have been declared by Uzbekistan’s Supreme Court to contain ideas of religious extremism, terrorism or religious fanaticism. The court has banned their import into the country, production, storage, distribution and display.
Users can search for specific banned sources and channels and view information by social media platform, including YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Threads and others.
As of July 13, the list contained 1,882 such sources.
