Urgut district in Samarkand region ranked second with 7,014 births, followed by Andijan city with 6,306. Samarkand city and Denov district in Surkhandarya region rounded out the top five with 5,559 and 5,542 births, respectively.
According to the committee, the rest of the top 10 included Pastdargom district in Samarkand region with 3,968 births, Koson district in Kashkadarya region with 3,878, Kamashi district in Kashkadarya region with 3,874, Almazor district in Tashkent city with 3,700, and Asaka district in Andijan region with 3,446.
In total, 373,389 live births were registered across Uzbekistan in H1 2026.
The 10 cities and districts with the highest numbers of births accounted for 55,472 of those registrations, or nearly 15% of the national total.
