Manturov is visiting Uzbekistan at the head of a Russian delegation taking part in meetings of the Uzbekistan–Russia Intergovernmental Commission and the Council of Regions.
At the start of the meeting, Manturov conveyed Russian President Vladimir Putin’s greetings and best wishes to Mirziyoyev.
The two sides reviewed the implementation of agreements reached during recent high-level talks.
Mirziyoyev welcomed the results of the latest meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission and the third meeting of the Council of Regions, both held on October 6.
The sides noted steady growth in bilateral trade and progress on cooperation projects in industry, energy, metallurgy, nuclear power and other sectors.
They also stressed the importance of coordinated measures to further expand trade, accelerate the implementation of joint projects in industrial zones, and maintain active dialogue at the regional and business levels.
