Al-Nassr took the lead in the 34th minute when Nawaf Boushal broke down the right flank and cut the ball back for Angelo, who finished accurately.
The hosts doubled their advantage eight minutes later. Sadio Mane delivered a cross, Aiman Yahya laid the ball off with his chest, and Ronaldo scored with a turning shot.
Neftchi appeared to pull one back late in the first half, but the goal was ruled out after a VAR review because Abrorbek Ismoilov had been offside earlier in the move.
The Uzbek side made two changes at half-time, bringing on Alisher Odilov and Farrukh Sayfiev for Medeiros Sasse and Ibrokhimkhalil Yuldoshev.
Odilov reduced the deficit in the 51st minute. After Jamshid Iskanderov sent in a cross, Boushal failed to clear the ball with his head, allowing Odilov to collect the rebound and fire past Al-Nassr goalkeeper Bento Krepski.
Neftchi’s task became more difficult in the 65th minute when Ikromjon Alibaev was sent off with a straight red card for a dangerous tackle on Al-Nassr defender Mohamed Simakan.
Al-Nassr made their numerical advantage count in the 78th minute. Mane set up Samu Costa inside the penalty area, and the Portuguese midfielder sent the ball across goal. Anvarjon Gofurov, attempting to prevent Ronaldo from reaching the pass, diverted it into his own net.
The 3-1 victory gave Al-Nassr their first points of this season’s competition, while Neftchi suffered their second-round defeat.
