MEPhI branch to begin admission from June 17

The Russian National Nuclear Research University “Moscow Engineering Physics Institute” (NNRU MEPhI) is ready to accept the first applicants to its Tashkent branch.
The work of the admission committee at the university will begin on June 17 and will last until July 2 at the Physics Department of the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek.
Selection of applicants to the branch of the NNRU MEPhI will be carried out according to the results of examinations in physics, mathematics and the Russian language, which will be taken by Russian teachers. Exams will be held from July 3 to July 9 and results will be announced on July 12.
100 applicants with the highest points will be admitted to the branch and will study for free on the basis of a state grant.
This year, enrollment on the bachelor's program will take place in four specialties:
• Nuclear power and thermal physics;
• Nuclear physics and technology;
• Thermal engineering and heat engineering;
• Electric power and electrical engineering.
Branch students will be trained in engineering-technical specialties in the field of nuclear energy and nuclear technology in accordance with the Russian educational standards.
The branch is located in the Mirzo Ulugbek district (Khuroson Street, 1) near the Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Academy of Sciences.
