Saida Mirziyoyeva and DFC chief discuss attracting American capital to Uzbekistan
Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan, held a high-level meeting with Ben Black, Chief Executive Officer of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), to discuss a strategic portfolio of major projects planned for implementation in Uzbekistan.
According to a statement released by Saida Mirziyoyeva, the DFC will play a proactive role in attracting American investors to the Uzbek market. A critical component of this partnership involves the corporation's ability to support promising initiatives by assuming a portion of the investment risks. This mechanism is expected to provide the necessary confidence for private capital to engage more deeply with the country's developing sectors.

The discussions focused heavily on expanding investment cooperation, launching new initiatives, and activating joint financial mechanisms. Both parties emphasized the importance of creating a stable environment for international capital, noting that the DFC's involvement serves as a significant signal of trust to the global investment community.

Furthermore, Saida Mirziyoyeva announced plans to launch a joint investment platform within the current year. This platform is specifically designed to facilitate a broader influx of American capital and private investment into the Uzbek economy. By streamlining the investment process and providing a structured framework for collaboration, the initiative aims to accelerate the realization of high-impact economic projects across the republic.
