The taxi booking service Yandex.Taxi will start paying taxes in Uzbekistan. This was announced today by the First Deputy Chairman of the State Tax Committee (STC) Mubin Mirzayev, Kun.uz correspondent reports.
Currently, the Russian company does not have its own legal entity in the country and does not pay taxes.
“Yandex.Taxi is not registered as a taxpayer. We have studied this question and should note that we have no complaints about entrepreneurs who pay taxes. We gave them the opportunity to register and pay taxes,” Mirzayev said.
The regional director of Yandex in Uzbekistan for development, promotion and localization had previously told reporters that the company works in each country in accordance with the law and is willing to pay taxes.
Yandex.Taxi entered the Uzbek market and began work in Tashkent in June 2018. The service also plans to expand its activities to other cities.
