Average monthly salary in Tashkent nears UZS 12 million amid national wage growth
The average monthly nominal calculated wage in Uzbekistan has reached UZS 6.82 million in Q1.

According to the latest data from the National Statistics Committee, the average monthly nominal accrued wage grew by 17.4 percent compared to the same period last year, indicating a steady rise in nominal earnings across the country.
Geographically, Tashkent city continues to lead by a significant margin, with the average salary reaching UZS 11.7 million. This amount is nearly double that of many other regions and reflects an 18.8 percent year-on-year growth in the capital. Following Tashkent, the highest wage levels were recorded in Navoi region at UZS 8.4 million and Tashkent region at UZS 6.1 million. In other provinces, the average monthly wage fluctuated within a more modest range of UZS 4.6 million to UZS 5.5 million.
Sectoral data reveals a substantial disparity between different types of economic activity. The highest earnings were observed in the financial and insurance sectors, including banking, leasing, and credit mediation, where the average salary stood at UZS 18.5 million. The information and communication technology sector followed closely, with professionals earning an average of UZS 16.5 million per month.
Despite the overall upward trend in national income, the education and healthcare sectors continue to report the lowest average wages. Salaries in education were recorded at UZS 4.6 million, while those in healthcare and social services were at UZS 4.1 million. These figures remain notably below the national average.
